HTS - Sendzimira Steelworks in Cracow

Phase I and II environmental due diligence of the second bigest Polish steelworks -"Huta im. T. Sendimira". This was followed up in Dec 1998 by a Radiation Survey. The scope of responsibilities included all aspects of environmental due diligence preparation, Phase I site investigation and reporting within all environmental components and Phase II preparation and coordination.

Katowice Steelworks in Dabrowa Gornicza

Logistics, coordination, evaluation and interpretation/facilitation assistance during implementation of short term training courses for municipality representatives, managers of district heating enterprises and housing cooperatives on energy management and low emission abatement opportunities in Rybnik Subarea. Organization and assistance on two study tours to France and Denmark for local government representatives.

Strengthening of Institutional and Operational Staff in Water Sector in Upper Silesia based on EU experience (PHARE Project EC/EPP/91/2.3.4)

Setting-up, staffing and managing project office. Logistics, coordination, evaluation and interpretation/facilitation assistance on a series of medium and short term workshops and 3 study tours to Great Britain, France and Denmark for managers of municipal water and waste water enterprises and management of water sector institutions. The total number of training participants - 108. Project budget 700.000 ECU.

Environmental Training Project for Central and Eastern Europe

Developing of curricula, organization and implementation of workshops for local governments, industries and universities:

Industrial Efficiency and Environmental Reviews

Assistance in organization and delivery of series of medium term training courses on environmental auditing in industry. Post-evaluation study of the Project. The aim of the study was assess the impact of the IEER Project interventions on: (1) the Polish professionals who participated in the training and (2) the involved industries. The total number of training participants - 124. Project budget USD 2.000.000. Financing - World Bank.
